WE ARE TROY
Troy High School Juniors, Luke Leon Guerrero and Kevin Yum, will compete at the annual Speedo Winter Junior Championships in Westmont, Illinois at Ohio State University's McCorkle Pavilion just outside of Chicago.
Both Luke (ranked #5 in California, and Kevin, ranked #20,) earned a berth at this elite swim meet for 18-and under athletes by posting impressive qualifying times earlier this year. Considering last year the two were known for knocking out both school and league records.
Their impressive results earned Leon Guerrero the 2023 Coaches Award, and Yum the 2023 MVP Award for the Boys Varsity team.

Kevin qualified in the 800M Freestyle event and Luke qualified in the 1000 YD Freestyle and 1650 YD Freestyle events. Both athletes are members of Troy's Varsity Swim Team and Fullerton Aquatics Sports Team.
The events were live-streamed on USA Swimming's website December 6-9,2023 @ohiostswimdive McKorkle Pavilion.
